Project Evaluation


Project Marking
Level 3 I have planned and created  my project. I have added appropriate images to my project. I have documented  information from other websites. I can describe some of  the steps my project. I have made changes to make suremy project is suitable for my audience.
Level 4 I have planned and created differeing items for my project. I have added appropriate text and images to my project. I have planned and created hyperlinks if needed. I can describe the steps I worked through to create some of my project. I have evaluated my to make sure they  were suitable for my audience.
Level 5 I have planned and created a project suitable for a range of audiences. I have added appropriate text and images to my project and given reasons for my choices. I have integrated applications or used more than one type of software. I have been able to make sensible decisions about information accuracy.  I have evaluated my project to make sure they were suitable for a range of audiences.
Level 6 I have planned and recorded details of my project documenting issues throughout the project. I have used some advanced features in my project (e.g. links, buttons, animations.) I have used feedback from my peers to suggest improvements to project. I have annotated some of my project to show audience and purpose. I have evaluated to explain possible improvements, implemented them and added annotation.

My Project

For my project I am going to create a blog, I will use Photoshop to edit images and I will insert video clips. My outcome for the end of this project is to have a completed blog with images and video clips inserted. The programs I will use are Blogger(to post my blog) Photoshop(to edit images) PowerPoint(to plan).

Spreadsheet starter


A new up-and-coming band, The Shakes, are doing a gig in your town! They have asked the venue to make sure the following items are ready for them in their dressing room (this list is called a rider).

                                        

Activity: Answer these questions using the screen-grab of the spreadsheet above.

1)    Which band member wants the most crisps? Jason wants the most crisps.

2)    Who prefers apples to crisps? Kym prefers apples to crisps.

3)    In which cell can you find the highest number on the spreadsheet? Write the cell reference here: You can find the highest number in cell reference E8.

4)    Does cell F5 contain a variable or a rule? Cell F5 contains a variable.

5)    How many sandwiches does the venue need to buy for the band altogether? The venue will need to buy 10 sandwiches

6)    What would the formula be for working out the total number of sandwiches? 2+3+4+1

7)    What new column would need to be added so that the venue could work out how much it the items were going to cost them? Price

8)    There is a data label missing from the chart opposite. What should it read? The missing label is biscuits.


9)    What is one advantage of putting information in a chart like the one shown opposite? You will be able to tell what you need more of quicker.

10)   Can you think of one disadvantage? You don’t know the exact number of food your getting 




Tour figures

The Shakes are about to go on their first tour to promote their debut single ‘Shake ‘em Up’. They need you to help them work out how much money they are likely to make, and how much they will have to pay out.

Activity 2: Open CD Resource 2d – Tour spreadsheet and enter your figures into the table. You will then need to enter formulae to calculate Total revenue, Total costs and Profit / Loss.

Activity 3: Once your spreadsheet model is complete, you can use the Goal Seek tool to answer the questions below the model. Record your answers on the spreadsheet.

JLS first founded on X Factor 2009. They came second and lost to Alexandra Burke but it just shows how you don’t have to win the become famous because in a lot of JLSters eyes they are winners and heroes!
JLS have realease 4 albums and have had a huge success with all of them.
